In the architectural tradition of Kerala (India), Maranatu Mana is one of the few remaining structures that falls under the Pathinaru Kettu. As per the classical architecture, Pathinarukettu means four courtyards surrounded by 16 blocks. Maranattu Mana belongs to the Nambuthiri family named Maranattu who have been residing here for centuries and have some proof for seven generations who stayed here. The rooms in the Pathayappura complex are recently been modified with added facilities and is now available Paying Guest accommodation for international tourists, as a certified heritage home by the Department of Tourism, Govt. of Kerala.
