The Craft Village of Kerala

Situated in 20 acres of land on the bank of Mooriyad river, near Vatakara in Kozhikode district (Kerala, India), the craft village is a new concept developed and implemented by Dept. of Tourism. The aim of this village is to bring various crafts of Kerala both ethnic and contemporary into a common plat form. The advantage is that the visitors can not only purchase the crafts of Kerala , but also getting a chance to see how they are made, through the demonstrative work units set up in the various huts in the village. It is opened to the public on 19/Feb/2011.
