Unified by the passion for dance, the upcoming dancing duo - Renjith and Vijna have carved a niche for themselves in the field of Bharatanatyam. With impeccable dance performances conducted nationally as well as internationally, the couple strives to entertain their audience with superior pieces of art. This new generation artistic couple has won many accolades for their aesthetics of performance, innovation, and perfection, achieved through giving attention to the nuances of the dance form. It is a mesmerizing experience to find how the dynamic dancing couple compliment their energy levels each other and achieve perfect synergy in their movements and expressions.

Both Renjith and Vijna are from Kozhikode (Kerala). Renjith had his initial training in Bharatanatyam under Smt. Prasanna Prakash in Kozhikode. After graduating from the world renowned institution of classical arts, Kalakshethra at Chennai in 2000, he pursued advanced training in Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of Guru Padmabhushan C.V. Chandrasekhar and still continues. Felicitated by many awards like Yuva Kala Bharathi' award by Bharat Kalachar and 'Ujjaini Natya Puraskaram' by Gowri Creations, Renjith has proved his talent not only in dance, but also in yoga and martial arts.

Vijna started her training in Bharatanatyam at a very young age under Smt. Sujatha Chandramohan in Muscat, Oman. She had her later studies at Bharata Kalanjali in Chennai, the institution founded and headed by the legendry dancing couple, 'The Dhananjayans'.  Since 2011, after her marriage with Renjith, Vijna is also practicing under Prof. C.V.Chandrasekhar. Vijna has conducted many solo performances and has won many accolades to her credit.

They are also having training with senior danseuse Smt. Indira Kadambi, in the Kalanidhi Narayan's style of Abhinaya.

Renjith says “Though we both come from Kalakshetra style of Bharathanatyam, as dancers our approach to dance was very different from each other. So, after marriage, when we decided to dance together, it took almost a year and a half to synchronize our movements and make our performances as flawless duet dancers. According to their Guru Shri C.V. Chandrasekhar, “both Renjith and Vijna are devoted to the dance form of Bharatanatyam and they strive hard to bring innovativeness, and perfection by fine tuning their skills through continuous learning, teaching, and paying attention to the minute nuances of the dance form” .

Settled in Chennai, the couple work together as creative partners at 'Dhwani; the school of Performing Arts. Recently, in their native town Kozhikode, Kerala, Renjith and Vijna organized a week-long workshop for the upcoming Bharatanatyam artists under aegis of C V Chandrashekhar.

The dancer couple performed in many famous national as well as international dance festivals.  Apart from these festivals, many workshops and performances were conducted in European countries. In India, they have performed across the country for various festivals like Madras Music Academy, Gujarat's Darpana Academy, Pragjyothi International dance festival in Assam etc.

Renjith and Vijna's Bharatanatyam recital on 'Prakruthi-Manushya' Baandhavyam (Nature-Man relationship) with a musical score composed by Prof. C.V. Chandrasekhar offers an ethereal experience for the audience. 'Ardhanariswaran' a theme based duet dance performance is destined as the upcoming future project for the couple.

As partners in life as well as in dance, Renjith and Vijna complete and compliment each other's performance in such a manner to epitomize the spiritual concept of Shiva and Shakti through their exemplary dance performances.
