Kerala Blog Express Trip 4 visited River Nila Cultural Destination

The fourth edition of 'Kerala Blog Express' with 30 bloggers from 29 countries visited River Nila, the  cultural destination, during their travel across Kerala. The two week long trip originated from Kochi   and concluded at Thiruvananthapuram on 03 April 2017.

 Kerala Blog Express is an initiative of Kerala Tourism to promote Kerala as a travel destination and helping the brand reach out to aspiring international travellers. The bloggers were selected from 29 countries through an online voting system.

During the trip, on 27 and 28 March the team visited varied locations near River Nila. The team experienced Shadow puppetry at Krishnankutty Pulavar Tholpavakoothu & Puppet Centre, Kunathara, folk songs and performance at Vayali Folklore Group, Arangottukara, OttanThullal by Suresh Kaliyath and team at Kodalur BKMLP School, Pattambi, folk performance Poothanum Thirayum at Kumbidi, typical Kerala lunch at Centre for Harmonious Living and a musical trail, an interactive session of Kerala traditional ensembles like Panchavadyam, Melam, Udukkupattu, Panakottu etc. by Sopanam School of Panchavadyam at Chennath Siva Kshethram, Alamkode .

It was the Blue Yonder Holidays Pvt ltd, a responsible tourism operator who took the initiative to give the bloggers an opportunity to experience some of the unique cultural themes of Kerala by bringing them to River Nila destination for two days out of their earlier fixed travel schedule in Kerala.

Under the initiative of Kerala Blog Express travel bloggers from across the globe are sent on a two-week long trip across the state, while documenting their journey throughout and helping the brand reach out to aspiring international travellers.
