Deseeya Thaalavadyolsavam -National Rhythm Festival- at Thrissur

Date: 11-13 July 2025; at Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, Thrissur, Kerala; Music concerts, percussion orchestras, demonstration on traditional rhythms, seminar etc.

11-13 July 2025: Deseeya Thaalavadyolsavam -National Rhythm Festival- at Thrissur

Venue: Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, Thrissur, Kerala. 

Deseeya Thaalavadyolsavam 2025 is a three-day festival of rhythms acknowledging the spirit of the traditional rhythms of Kerala. The event titled ‘Thathindaka thom’ is dedicated to late Ustad Zakir Hussain, world renowned Tabla player from India.  Musicians and percussionists from different parts of India are participating in this event.  The programs are scheduled three stages- Actor Murali Theatre, K T Muhammed Theatre and the Black box- in the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi campus in Thrissur. A pavilion with demonstration of the performance training of Kerala percussions and the making of the drums will be held in the Akademi campus on all the three days. The festival is jointly organized by Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi and Department of Culture, Government of Kerala.
