Pazhassi Raja Smrithi Mandiram, the memorial dedicated to Pazhassi Raja (1753-1805), the prince of the erstwhile Kottayam Malabar who fought against the British, is now adorned with the Kerala style murals depicting the story of Pazhassi Raja. The murals on the life and history of Pazhassi Raja drawn by artists K R Babu and team was unveiled to public on 07 Jan 2018.

Art installation with used plastic bottles

The art installation with the used plastic bottles at Darul Hidaya Orphanage Higher Secondary School at Pookarathara, a remote village near Edappal in Malappuram district, attracts other schools, artists and environmental activists as the 13 ft high installation constructed using 5000 plus used plastic bottles of water not only gives the message of importance of water but also highlights the reuse of plastic bottles and keeping the environment clean.
