Kerala Tourism launched a microsite on ecotourism, highlighting the features of major destinations that nature lovers look for in the panoramic state. 

Shri Kadakampally Surendran, Minister for Tourism launched the microsite at his chamber on 27 Oct 2018, in the presence of Shri Pramod P P, IFS, Director of Ecotourism, Government of Kerala. 

Elephants herds at Tholpetty Wildlife sanctuaryThe pages of the website have detailed information regarding the mind-blowing richness and diversity of the God's Own Country. It provides details about 47 never-miss ecotourism spots, 75 videos, 200 photographs, 10 e-brochures and information on 100 ecotourism programmes.  Offering a bouquet of trekking packages, ecotourism in Kerala ensures responsible tours to enjoy the beauty and grandeur of nature, besides seeking to create awareness among the travellers on the need to conserve the environment with the help of local communities. The microsite has information on an array of attractive packages for tourists, who love to explore nature. 

Some of the must-see ecotourism destinations of Kerala are Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary (north Kerala), Silent Valley National Park (Palakkad), Parambikulam Tiger Reserve (Palakkad), Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary (Idukki), Periyar Tiger Reserve (Idukki), Shenduruney Ecotourism (Kollam), Eravikulam National Park (Munnar) and Chembra Peak (Wayanad).
