Makarachovva Festival at Mulayamparambu, Chalissery, Palakkad District

At Chalissery Mulayamparambu Bhagavathi Kshethram- 

The folk forms Poothan and Mukkanchathan are performed on this day- morning and evening (10am & 5pm), in front of the temple courtyard. Two ritual processions with chariots, oracles and local percussions are also held in the evening (5pm). 

Location/access: The temple is located in Chalissery (Palakkad district), which is 4km from Perumbilavu (near Kunnamkulam) on Pattambi/Palakkad road. Pattambi is about 13km away
