Seepothi Theyyam at Nittoor, Kozhikode district.

16 Aug 2025: Seepothi Theyyam at Nittoor-  Sree Bhagavathi, shortly called Seepothi is the Goddess of prosperity.  The Goddess appears in front of their devotees in the form of Seepothi Theyyam to bless them and to recover them from the struggles and illness. Seepothi Theyyam along with a folksinger cum percussionist visits all the homes in the village for a short performance and to bless the household members. Usually about six pairs of performers go around the whole village since early morning to evening.  

Location/access: This ritual is held in the village of Nittoor and Nittoor can be accessed from Ambalakulangara bus stop on Vatakara- Kuttiadi road, Kozhikode district.
