Ulsavam at Thirunakkara Mahadeva Kshethram, Kottayam

19- 26 Jun 2025 : Aani Ulsavam at Thirunakkara Mahadeva Kshethram- Ritual ceremonies and processions are held on all these days inside the temple. The most important processions Pallivetta and Aarattu are held on the last two days consecutively, outside the temple complex.  Caparisoned elephant, traditional orchestration Melam are part of the processions.  Thirunakkara Mahadeva Kshethram is a temple with traditional architecture adorned with wooden carvings, sculptures and murals. The other features include Koothambalam, Aanakkottil etc. 

Location/access: The temple is situated in the heart of Kottayam city and just ½ km away Kottayam Railway station.
